Choir Festivities at 1 Angel Square

There were some special little visitors in 1 Angel Square, Manchester yesterday. They’d travelled all morning to get there and were full of Christmas spirit and joy. No it wasn’t Santa’s elves, it was the fantastic school choir from Oakwood Primary Academy, one of the sponsored co-operative academies!

The 7 to 11 year old pupils from Oakwood Primary Academy performed Christmas songs to colleagues in the atrium of The co-operative Group support centre, conducted by Headteacher Becky Ingram. Then the choir treated diners on the 9th floor to a few songs as they enjoyed their Christmas lunch.

At the end of their visit Rod Bulmer and Alistair Asher, from the Executive, presented the children with a special Christmas hamper to share with their classmates.
